Zinol — Free Portfolio Template for Framer

Zinol is a free 5-page portfolio Framer template for culture and performance work. Skip it if case studies must be CMS pages instead of one Work route.

Zinol is a free five-page portfolio Framer template from Ryan Lo for a culture brand that wants the name to dominate the screen. There is no CMS, so Work is one index. Skip it if every piece needs its own generated URL. JORGE is that CMS portfolio. The portfolio shortlist and free Framer templates are the hub.

Who should remix Zinol?

Zinol fits a collective, a director, or a small culture brand whose homepage should feel like a poster. The demo mixes a dance still, a street-performance blurb, and article cards (one dated June 2025, one with a figure in yellow on a pink ground). About and Work are separate, so the manifesto and the index do not fight for the same scroll. Contact is a route, and the preview also paints “send a message” on the art itself.

Walk away if clients must open a case study with a stable URL per project. JORGE is the collection-backed portfolio. TOVA is the opposite compromise: many static project URLs and no CMS, with a red frame instead of this black editorial pile. A photographer who wants cream and daylight should not start here. IvyLens is that lighter file.

What Zinol looks like

Black field, white pages tilted in the marketplace collage, type so large the word ZINO is cut by the frame. A photograph of a dancer sits under a caption about a group from Paris. Smaller cards carry article titles and a date. Navigation in the preview is About, Work, Article. It feels like a cultural magazine that refused a normal header, closer to a festival site than to a designer grid with even thumbnails.

The fight is the type size. A long studio name will not survive the treatment that “ZINO” gets. You will shrink it and then the layout looks ordinary, or you will keep it and accept cropping. The tilted collage in the thumbnail is the marketplace presentation. Confirm the live preview (zino.framer.website) before you promise a client that every screen is rotated. Article in the nav may not match a page named Work. Align those words.

Pages included in Zinol

Five routes:

  • Home: oversized name, featured still, and the first pitch
  • About: the collective or director story, off the poster
  • Contact: a real route, even though “send a message” also appears in the art
  • Work: the index of projects or films, one page, not a detail template
  • 404: a designed miss, so a bad link does not dump the visitor in a default Framer error

There is no Article route in the sitemap even if the nav says Article. Point that label at Work or at a section on Home.

What is distinctive about Zinol

  • Wordmark as layout. The name is the hero object. A logo in the corner would be a different template.
  • Performance and culture demo. Dance, street energy, and magazine cards are the sample content, not app screenshots.
  • Work as a single index. You get a portfolio route without a CMS and without twenty duplicated cases.
  • Date-stamped cards. The preview includes an article date, so the file expects editorial posts even without a blog page name.
  • Black editorial default. You are not lightening a SaaS gradient. You are starting from print-on-black.

Animations you add later are optional. The crop and the scale are the reason to remix.

When to remix Zinol, and when to skip

Remix Zinol when the brand can live inside huge type and one Work index is enough.

Skip it when projects need CMS detail pages or the name cannot be cropped. Use JORGE, then the portfolio shortlist or free Framer templates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Zinol, including pricing, CMS support, responsiveness, and who it is built for.

What kind of site is Zinol best for?

Zinol fits a free creative portfolio in Framer for performance, culture, or editorial work. Routes are Home, About, Contact, Work, and 404. The preview uses a giant ZINO wordmark, a dance photograph, and article cards on black. There is no CMS. JORGE is the file when each project should be a collection entry instead of a card on one Work page.

Is Zinol free to remix?

Yes. Zinol is free on the Framer marketplace. Ryan Lo is the creator profile. yoframer does not charge for the remix. The preview email and the "June 2025" article dates are demo content. Replace them with a real contact and real dates.

Does Zinol include a CMS?

No. Work and the article cards are static. A new piece means editing the index, not adding a CMS row that spins a detail page. About is its own route, which keeps the manifesto off the grid, but it is still a canvas you type into.

When should I skip Zinol?

Skip Zinol if the giant type fights your name, if you need project detail URLs, or if a bright studio grid is the right mood. JORGE covers CMS projects. The portfolio shortlist and the free Framer templates hub are the next browse.
